Pull Up A Chair With Sinners

Lent 2: Jesus calls Levi the tax collector, and Levi throws a party that same day—inviting all his tax collector and sinner friends. The religious people are scandalized: "Why do you eat with them?" Jesus responds, "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." This is Jesus' mission statement. He doesn't wait for us to clean up our act before inviting us to the table. He eats with the "wrong people"—which means there's room for us.
