Prepare For Hard Things

Lent 6: Six days before Passover, Jesus comes to Bethany for dinner. Martha serves, Lazarus reclines at the table, and Mary takes expensive perfume and anoints Jesus' feet. Judas complains about the waste. Jesus says, "Leave her alone. She is preparing me for burial." From this intimate table, Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey while crowds wave palms and shout "Hosanna!" From the table of anointing to the road to the cross. Holy Week begins.
