Forgiveness & Grace

Lent 5: A Pharisee invites Jesus to dinner, and a "sinful woman" crashes the party. She weeps, washes Jesus' feet with her tears, dries them with her hair, and anoints them with expensive perfume. Simon judges her; Jesus defends her. "Her many sins are forgiven—as her great love has shown." Forgiveness doesn't just erase our past; it creates extravagant, costly, scandalous love in response. As we approach Holy Week, we see what love looks like when it meets grace.
